The world’s largest message in a bottle

As competition from big global brands got tougher, little Solo from Norway quickly became outdated. People still loved the flavor, but Solo needed to do something extraordinary to make Norwegians proud of their national soft drink once again.

Our mission: Build the world’s largest message in a bottle, stock it with an equally large letter, and a crate of Solo, and set it to sea. The journey of the world’s larges message in a bottle, began outside of Tenerife, but from there, it was up to the ocean currents to decide which country was to receive a taste of the world’s best soda.

Due to this campaign, Brand Image changed from traditional and safe, to popular, cool and trendy. Facebook fans are up 367%, Twitter followers are up 2286%. During the course of the campaign, we enjoyed visitors from more than 148 countries. Solo also took a big, yellow gulp of the market share, at + 1,1% since launching the campaign. Target group preference is at 63% – up from 59%.
